Sallie Darlene Blankenship

RENICK, WV – Sallie Darlene Blankenship, 83 of Renick, WV passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the Autumn Way Assisted Living, Rupert, WV. Born July 13, 1940, in Jefferson, NC, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Virginia Bare Dixon. Sallie worked as a Janitor in various positions and was a Christian. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alston Blankenship, daughters, Teena Ross and Regina Randow, siblings, Wanda June Sherman, Zona Gail Adams, Bonnie Gwinn, Sallie Olmstead, Lola Ray Viers, Luwanda Viers, Laddie Dixon, Bill Dixon, Peggy Reynolds, and Arthur Dixon Jr.

Survivors include a son, Garry Blankenship of Airville, PA, siblings, Sammie Bare (Marge), Frank Dixon, Edna Cochran, sister-in-law, Christine Dixon, grandchildren, Sheena White, Willy Randow, Jamie Ross, Sallie Ann Blankenship and Garry Blankenship, great grandchildren, Slate, Blaire, Liam, Addison and Brent, several nieces, and nephews.

Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, WV. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, on Tuesday.
