Samuel Wallace Jones

Neola, WV- Samuel (Lee) W. Jones, 93 of Neola, WV formerly of Avondale, WV gained his heavenly wings Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at his home. Born November 19, 1929, at Avondale, WV he was the son of the late Crocket and Ora Jones. Lee was a coal miner and loved gardening, fishing, hunting, woodworking, digging ginseng, and riding around the mountains.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Eunice, daughter Beverly Dishion, sons-in-law Steve Wright and Bill Dishion, four brothers, and four sisters.

Those left to cherish his memories are sons Samuel Junior Lee Jones wife Ann of Neola, WV, Calvin wife Renee of Iaeger, WV, daughters Joyce Christian husband Freddie of Bluefield, WV, Glenna Wright of Bethel, OH, Rhonda McGuire of Welch, WV, Diana Lee of Enon, OH, brother Troy Jones wife Effie, sister Catherine Brakeall, nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

It was Lee’s wish to be cremated. A memorial service will be held May 20, 2023 at 1PM at Neola Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice Care of Lewisburg, WV. Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net. Arrangements by Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
