Sandra Louise Glenn

Sandra Louise Glenn, 80, of Ronceverte, West Virginia, formerly of Katy, Texas, passed away peacefully on the morning of July 30, 2026, with her daughter, Laurie, by her side. Born on March 8, 1946, Sandra lived a life defined by strength, love, and unwavering devotion to her family, faith and her strong Christianity. In 2023, she moved to West Virginia to live with her daughter, Laurie, her granddaughter (Brooke) and great granddaughter (Malani), where she enjoyed seeing and going to new places while being surrounded by love, laughter, and adventures. Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mickey Glenn; her son, David Kirkland; her parents, Mary and Robert Jones, Charles Martin; her grandson, Brad, Laurie’s husband, Tommy Yates and Michelle’s husband, Otis O’Callaghan. She is lovingly survived by her son, Michael Kirkland (LeighAnn); her daughters, Laurie Yates, Michelle Kirkland, Carin, Cathi and Christina; brothers, Raymond Martin and Tommy Jones (Nancy); her cousins, Carol Reuter (Chris) and Ronnie Northrup; grandchildren, Bubba, Lee, Bryce, Macey (Ryan), Blaine (Brittany), Cecilly (John), Katie (Garrett), Faith (David), Brianna, Jennifer, Caleb, Dylan, Kalea, Alex (Sammie), Ashley (Ian), Brandon, Tyler, Ryan, Brooke, Amber, Jessica (Guajardo), Samantha and Meagan; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She also leaves behind her lifelong friend Charlotte, whose friendship spanned more than 50 years, along with dear friends Jeanette and Charlie. Her faithful dog, Baby Girl, was not only her beloved pet but her constant companion and best friend. Sandra began her career working at NASA before finding her calling in outside bearing sales, where she built a successful and respected career through her determination, work ethic, and gift for connecting with people. Anyone who knew Sandra will remember her beautiful blue eyes, captivating smile, and playful, goofy personality. She was wonderfully hardheaded, fiercely determined, incredibly strong, and a true fighter through life’s challenges. Above all, she had a heart of gold and loved everyone she met. Nothing meant more to Sandra than her family, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She enjoyed cooking for those she loved, collecting elephants, watching her favorite television show, Murder, She Wrote, and treating herself to her favorite meals of Mexican food and seafood. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and created countless memories that her family will forever hold close. In accordance with Sandra’s wishes, she will be cremated with no formal services. Her ashes will be laid to rest alongside those of her beloved husband, Mickey. Sandra’s kindness, resilience, laughter, and unconditional love will be deeply missed but will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Her legacy is one of strength, compassion, and a love for family that will never be forgotten.
