Shelby Jean Starke

Shelby Jean Hayes Starke, 76, of Hopewell, VA passed away May 26, 2016 at a Richmond, VA hospital following a long illness.Born at Vago January 9, 1940 she was the daughter of the late John Hayes and Estella Napier Hayes.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Starke and brother, James Hayes.Shelby is survived by five children, Andrew, Jack, Edward, Richard, and Cathy all of Hopewell; four brothers, Thomas and Pat of Waynesboro, VA, Denver of Waynesboro, VA, Robert of Frankford, and Tony of Ronceverte; a sister, JoAnn and Steven Hill of Rifle, Colorado; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday June 4, 2016 at the Clifton Church Cemetery at Maxwelton with Pastor Joe Hendricks officiating.Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00PM Saturday June 4, 2016 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
