Shirley E. Eagle

Shirley Eagle, 75, of Frankford passed away on Monday August 6, 2012 at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte. Born October 11, 1936 at Droop Mountain she was the daughter of the late Joe and Biddie McMillion Blankenship. In addition to her parents Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Eagle; son, Bruce Eagle; sisters, Midge Simmons and Ada Hammons; and brothers, Gilbert, Guy, and Howard Blankenship. Survivors include her children, John Eagle of Frankford, Betty Eagle of Fairlea, and Bill Eagle of Glasgow, VA; daughter-in-law, Vickie Eagle of Ronceverte; sisters, Edith Hammons of Ronceverte, Merley Burkes and Hershel of Renick, Nellie Bragg and Jim of Asbury, Pearl McCoy and Chester of Frankford, and Judy Simmons of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Chris Eagle and Marilyn of Frankford, Tyler Eagle of Alderson, and Jason Scott of Fairlea; two great grandchildren, Lorelei and Morgan Eagle; and special niece and caregiver, Diane Hinkle. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday August 10 at the Frankford Cemetery with Pastor Dannie Short officiating.
