LUGOFF, SC – Terry Lee Ellis, 60 of Lugoff, SC formerly of Gilbert, WV passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the Richlands Hospital, Columbia, SC. Born August 12, 1958 at Man, WV he was the son of the late Charles William Ellis Sr. and Audra Ann Nester Ellis. Terry was a member of the UMWA. He coached little league baseball, football and basketball, and was an Eagle Scout. He was a real estate broker in South Carolina and refereed many sports. Terry was a Christian and was of the Baptist faith. He was a 1976 graduate of Gilbert High School. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles William Ellis Jr., brother in law, Charles Britt and his father in law, Tommy Lester. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Jennifer Hope Lester Ellis, son, Wesley Ellis (Tara) of Lenore, WV, daughter, Stevie “Sadie” Icenhour of Charleston, SC, brother, David Ellis of Gilbert, his twin sister, Sherry Britt of Gilbert, WV, his second dad and mom, Carl and Zella Wade of White Sulphur Springs, WV, mother in law, Diana Browning, granddaughter, Kamaelyn Brewer of Georgetown, KY, good friend, Josh Coats, his fur-babies, Molly and Polly, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Wild Meadow Baptist Church, White Sulphur Springs with Pastor Roger “Wahoo” McDaniel and Pastor Lowell O’Dell officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Little Creek Road, Alvon, WV. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, November 16, 2018 at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Justice, Rt. 52, Eagle Street, Justice, WV 24851. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
