Thelma Ruth Sampson

LEWISBURG, WV – Thelma Ruth Sampson, 99 of Lewisburg, WV passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the home of her granddaughter, Shelly Sampson. Born November 2, 1924, in Lewisburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Linnie Pearl Flack Hanson. Thelma was a homemaker and was a member of Jane’s Chapel Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Sampson, daughter, Sandy Steep, two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Randy Sampson (Peggy) and Malcom Sampson, daughter, Brenda Lemine (Sam), seven grandchildren, Brian, Jake, Shelly, Lucas, Daniel, April, and Amber, fourteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the Roach Cemetery, Muddy Creek Mountain Road, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Emory Hanna officiating. Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net. Arrangements by Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
