Thelma Tipton

FRANKFORD, WV – Thelma G. Blankenship Tipton, 84, of Frankford, WV passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Born July 4, 1933 at Renick, WV she was the daughter of the late Lonzo and Rhoda Lillian Workman Blankenship. Thelma retired from Kellwood and was a member of Enon Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Orval” Tipton, brothers, Harley and Alva Blankenship and a sister, Glenna Blankenship. Survivors include two sons, James Buster Tipton and wife Becky and Ronnie Tipton and wife Teresa all of Frankford, WV, daughters, Wilma Tipton and Alvin Reneau of Dandridge, TN, Lillian Hammons and husband Roger of Frankford, WV and Peggy Smailes and husband Charlie of Marlinton, WV, brothers, James Blankenship and wife Phyllis of White Sulphur Springs, WV, Lloyd Blankenship of Frankford, WV and Bradford Blankenship and wife Frances of Pennsylvania, sisters, Irene George and husband Sam of White Sulphur Springs, WV, Arella Underwood and husband Bob of Frankford, WV and Mary Harless and husband Melvin of White Sulphur Springs, WV, grandchildren, Amanda Tipton and husband Mario Erazo, Annie Tipton, Ben Tipton, Lacy and Levi Hammons and Alexia “Turtle” Tipton, great grandchildren, Matteo and Nina Erazo and a sister in law, Leula Blankenship. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Monday, March 5, 2018 at Enon Baptist Church, Frankford, WV with Pastor Steve Barnette and Pastor Michael McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, March 4, 2018 at the Morgan Funeral Home, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV.
