LEWISBURG, WV – Thomas Wayne McCoy, 84, of Lewisburg, WV passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV. Born January 30, 1934 at Williamsburg, WV he was the son of the late John Omer and Goldie Jackson McCoy. Mr. McCoy was a U.S. Army, Korean War Veteran. He retired from Bell Atlantic and was a member of the Lewisburg United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister, Wanda Perry and brother, George Warren McCoy. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Maxine McCoy, son, John Wayne McCoy of Edgewater, MD, daughter, Deborah McCoy Rupprecht (Hank) of Jefferson, MD, brothers, James McCoy of Brighton, CO, Robert McCoy (Kathy) of Covington, VA, sisters, Addie Childs and Linda Germeroth both of Frederick, MD and Barbara Shannon (Dale) of Pittsburg, OK, grandchildren, Laura and Thomas Rupprecht, Angela DeFayette (Joseph), Rebecca, Jacob and Rachel McCoy, great grandchildren, Riley and Isabella DeFayette, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel – 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV with Rev. Beverly Columbo and Pastor Hat Defibaugh officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations of sympathy be made to the Peyton Hospice House – 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901 or to the Andrew Chapel Church Cemetery Fund – PO Box 40, Williamsburg, WV 24991.
