Timothy Jay Hammons

FAIRLEA, WV – Timothy Jay Hammons went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV.  Born January 16, 1963 in Havre de Grace, MD he was the son of the late Delbert and Ada Blankenship Hammons.  Timmy was born with Cerebral Palsy which is paralysis due to brain injury.  He was physically handicapped not mentally handicapped.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ray and Bobby Hammons, sisters, Linda Hammons and Pam Hammons Stalls and a nephew, Russell Simmons.  Survivors include his oldest sister, Bonnie Hammons-Humphreys (Ralph) of Fairlea, WV and brother, Frank Hammons (Jean) of Davenport, IA. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel – 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Gary Baker officiating.  Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg, WV.  Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, July 19, 2019 at the funeral home.  Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net.  Arrangements by Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
