Tommy Hernandez Davis (affectionately known by many as TD or the Kmart Man), 64 of Lewisburg, passed away Tuesday Oct. 6, 2015 at the Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea after a long illness. Tommy was born January 18, 1951 in Reidsville, NC and was the son of the late Katherine Daniels Davis and Lloyd George Davis. He was employed by Kmart in the Electronics Department for eight years until his health would no longer allow him to return to work. In addition to his parents Tommy was preceded in death by three cousins, Juan Lester of Reidsville, NC, and Ricky and Michael Ruth of Jamacia, NY. He is survived by his second mother, Mary Lester of Reidsville, NC; his children, Marcus Berry (Misty) of Ronceverte, Telena Alexander and Tommy Alexander both of White Sulphur Springs; three grandchildren; his brother Dale Mann (Kayla) of White Sulphur Springs; special friends, Linda Hayes and Richie Baxter both of Lewisburg. Tommy really appreciated all that they did for him; his caregiver Beverly White of Lewisburg with whom he made his home for the last fifteen years; and his Kmart Family. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday October 17, 2015 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Eugene Fullen officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00-9:00 PM Friday October 16, 2015 at the funeral home.
