Velma Jane Boone

Velma Jane Boone, 60, of Lewisburg passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013 at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA. Born January 12, 1953 at Vago, she is the daughter of the late Earl Lee and Mary Ella Darlington Boone and was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Anna Carver. Velma was anybody's friend and was there for her friends in whatever capacity they needed her as their confidant, mother, daughter, sister or just friend. She very much enjoyed attending and studying with the Lewisburg Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Survivors include three brothers, Roscoe Boone and wife, Francis of Bluefield, Earl Boone and wife, Peggy of Frankford and Basil Boone and wife, Kathy of Charlottesville, VA. and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Mr. Imre Pentek officiating. Burial will follow in the Adwell Cemetery at Ronceverte.
