Velma Brown Clevenger

Velma L. Clevenger, 89, of Renick passed away on Saturday Feb. 7, 2015 at her home. Born August 21, 1925 at Renick, she was the daughter of the late Austin Mayberry Brown and Dorothy Ann Cochran Brown. In addition to her parents, Velma was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Clevenger Sr.; daughters, Janet Fogus and Mary Ann Robinson; brothers, Edsel (Sonny) Brown, and Austin Mayberry Brown Jr. and sisters, Gerri Hightower and Minnie Lewis. Survivors include her children, Austin Clevenger (Sharon) of Renick, Gloria Morrison (Jim) of Frankford, Betty Morrison (Roger) of Droop, George Clevenger (Sharon) of Six Miles, S.C., Shorty Clevenger of Renick, Christina Lewis (Jimmy) of Frankford, Rose Poole (Tom) of Greenbrier, AR, Larry Clevenger (Melissa) of Lewisburg, Gary Clevenger (Carolyn) of Frankford, Toneshia Wise and Latonya Wise, both of Renick; sisters, Gladys Hefner (Jim) of Renick and Mary Altizer of Frankford; brother Edward "Ike" Brown (Judy) of Yadkinville, NC; twenty-six grandchildren , twenty-seven great grandchildren and was looking forward to three more in the near future, two great- great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and many others that she considered her own. Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday February 11, 2015 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Elder Roger Alder officiating, Burial will follow in the Morningside Cemetery at Renick.
