Vesper Ray Lewis

RENICK, WV – Vesper Ray Lewis, 84 of Renick WV passed away at his home Sunday, June 15, 2025. Born January 20, 1941, in Renick, WV he was the son of the late Howard and Audrey Blake Lewis.  Vesper retired from WVDOT.  He still actively farmed.  He loved the outdoors, working with his horses, farming, hunting and gardening.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur “Buck” Lewis, Howard Lewis Jr., Melvin Lewis and sisters, Marie Lewis and Leoan Cutlip.

Survivors include his children, Sheila Withrow and Daniel Lewis (Peggy), four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, sisters in law, Patricia and Betty Lewis, several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the Morningside Cemetery, Renick, WV. There will be no visitation. Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net. Arrangements entrusted to Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
