Vinecia M. Stanley

Vinecia M. Stanley, 81, of Lewisburg passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea. Born on May 5, 1931 at Cordova, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Williams Sr. and Grace Baldwin Williams. Vinecia had worked at the Department of Highways for thirty-two years. She enjoyed being a part of the Old Friends and New Comers Club and was a member of Shuck Memorial Baptist Church. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, David Eugene Williams and a sister, Polly Bishop. Vinecia is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Carl Stanley; daughter, Sandra Lively and Bob Lippman of Ripley; special friend and caregiver, her sister-in-law, Martha Cudd; brother, Clarence Williams Jr. and wife, Wanda of Renick; sister, Velma Burleson and husband, Richard of Marion, NC; brother-in-law, Henry Bishop of Bristow, VA; sister-in-law, Joyce Stanley of Martinsburg; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, March 2 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with the Rev. Ron Miller and Pastor Everette Defibaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery at Renick. Visitation will be from 12:00 NOON until time of the service on Saturday. Serving as pallbearers will be Don Lewis, Ronal Lewis, Richard Burleson, Richard Burleson Jr., Jim Hollifield, and George Defibaugh.
