Virgie Catherine Rush

Virgie Catherine Rush, 88 of Fairlea passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 at The Brier Nursing Center in Fairlea. Born November 11, 1923 at Ronceverte, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Rosa Massie Holt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Rush, son, Monty Morgan and ten brothers and sisters, Ethel, Frank and Susie Massie, Carl, Donald, Buddy and Jimmy Holt, Jenny Morgan and infant brothers Virgil and Fred Holt. Virgie is survived by her daughter, Janet Pickering of Ronceverte; sons, David Holt of Ronceverte, Curtis Morgan of Ronceverte, Austin Morgan and Bridget of Lewisburg and Roger Morgan and Teri of NC; granddaughter, Tina Jerman and Phil; grandsons, Jeffrey Pickering, Travis, Chad and Alexander Morgan and two great grandchildren; brother, Forest Holt of Ronceverte; sister, Doretha Halsey of Louisa, VA; brother-in-law, Jimmy Morgan and sisters in law Jo Ellen Holt, Coella Holt, Alcinda Flint and Louise Masters. Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg.
