Virginia E. Keene

Virginia E. Keene, 89, of Lewisburg passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte following an extended illness. Virginia was born April 7, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Etch Bostic and Cora Holcomb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Estil Keene; daughter, Margaret "Puden" Miller; granddaughters, Laura "Sissy" Miller and Samantha Miller and two great granddaughters, Liz Miller and Emilee Clark. Virginia was a member of the River of Life Church of God in Alderson, the VFW, Senior Friends and P.U.S.H. She was employed at Jim's Drive In during the 70's and enjoyed each and every minute that she spent with her grandchildren. Surviving Virginia are her daughters, Elizabeth "Ann" Burns of Lewisburg, Esther Aleshire of Fairlea, Phyllis Sheets (Donald) of Lewisburg and Wanda Martin of White Sulphur Springs and her very special friend, Raymond Rigsby; grandchildren, Sherry and Estil "Bud" Burns, Sandy Cole, Tammy Burns, Deadra Layton, Angie Martin, Doug and James Brown, Susie Fitzgerald, Kenny Miller and Pam Resnick; great grandchildren, Joseph Burns, Sheri, Mike and Aaron Burns, Brittany, Tracey and Baylee Burns, Charlie and Jamie Sulsier, Josh and Sam Layton, Justin, Harrison and Allyson Martin, Haley Fitzgerald, Hannah, Micah and Jeremiah Brown, Parker and Presley Resnick and Melinda Burns; great great grandchildren, Willow and Laurel Ortiz and James Hylton. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 30, 2013 at River of Life Church of God in Alderson with Pastor Anthony Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM til time of service on Saturday at the church.
