Walter Owen Cooke

ANTHONY, WV - Walter Owen Cooke, 68 of Anthony, WV, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025, at CAMC Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Born August 15, 1956, in Ronceverte, WV, he was the son of the late Tedd Simpson and Katherine Issabell Yates Cooke.

Walter was a faithful member of the Anthony Baptist Church and retired from ABB as a Mechanical Assembler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Pritt.

He is survived by an uncle, Junior Yates (Carol); aunt, Madeline Yates; several cousins and many friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, WV, with Pastor Mark Shafer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, Thursday. Burial will follow the service in the Lewis Chapel Cemetery.
