FRANKFORD, WV – Alex Wayne Livesay, 76 of Frankford, WV, son of the late Alex Kincade Livesay and Mary Gray Hinkle Livesay, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at the home of his sister, Laura Bryant surrounded by family. Born February 26, 1947, Wayne attended Frankford High School from there he joined the US Marine Corp where he proudly served his country in Vietnam and was decorated many times. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman, loved to camp, fish, and hunt, especially to Spruce Knob for deer camp. Wayne worked with his brother Pete at Sugar Loaf Farms in Staunton where he showed cattle in Denver, Reno, Louisville and Jackson, MS to name a few. He was a heavy equipment operator and roaded and showed cattle for the group Alabama and singer Kenny Rogers. Wayne was also known as the “Singing Cowboy” and loved to entertain on stage or just on the porch.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dreama Mae Wickline Livesay, sister, Regina Kay Bennett, brother, Lewis Douglas Livesay, brothers in law, Larry Bennett and Gary Bryant. Left to cherish his memory are a son, Richie Livesay (Monica), daughter, Teresa Loudermilk, sister, Laura Bryant, brothers, Pete Livesay (Carolyn), Terry Livesay (Deborah), grandchildren, Jensen Livesay, Carissa, Layken, Kendra Stump and Chasity Harris (Mikel), great granddaughter, Tinlee, a host of nieces and nephews, special nephew, Mark Bennett who was close to Wayne.
Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon, Monday, July 31, 2023, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, WV, Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
