Wayne Christopher Shafer

Wayne C. Shafer, 41, of Ronceverte passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Born March 11, 1973 at Ronceverte, he is the son of Donald and Deanna Chambers Shafer and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Royd and Marie Shafer and Robert and Susie Chambers and a sister, Kimberly Shafer. Wayne enjoyed the outdoors and hunting and woodworking. He loved spending time with family and friends and helping others. He was a member of Lewisburg Baptist Church and was employed at MeadWestvaco. In addition to his parents, he is survived by is wife, Julie Ann Shafer and children, Adam and Calah at home; brother, Ronald Shafer of Alderson and sister, Heather Graham (Billy) of Ronceverte. Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Lewisburg Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Comer officiating. Burial will follow in McLean Cemetery near Ronceverte.
