William Alvin Green, 86, of Frankford went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday, October 26, 2016. He was born April 11, 1930 in Frankford and was the son of the late Jasper Green Jr. and Vicie Boothe Green.He graduated from Frankford High School and served our nation in the U.S. Marines for four years. William was employed at the Bethlehem Steel Mill in Sparrows Point, MD for thirty-three years. He was a faithful member of the Enon Baptist Church for many years.In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by sisters, Mildred Green Redman, Alline Green Brenneman, Vada Elizabeth Green, and Orbi Della Green; brother, Edward Jasper Green; brothers-in-law, Richard Brennerman , Gus Redman, and John Runyon.William is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Shirley Crews Green; one sister, Glenna Green Runyon of Hot Springs, VA., two daughters, Virginia Austin and husband, Bob of Oxford, AL and Jane Mraz and husband, Joe of Sykesville, MD; grandchildren, Christina Cockerham, Joanna Austin, Sarah Ealy, Rachel Mraz, Daniel Mraz, and Elisabeth Mraz; five great grandchildren, Gabby, Megan, John, Zach, and Ryan.A graveside service will be conducted 3:00 PM Saturday October 29, 2016 at the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery at (Vago) Frankford with Pastor Steve Barnette officiating.
