William Ronald Grimmett Sr.

LEWISBURG, WV – William Ronald Grimmett Sr., 76, of Lewisburg, WV passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Born April 18, 1941 at White Sulphur Springs, WV he was the son of the late Emmett Russell and Mable Jane Ward Grimmett. Mr. Grimmett was a retired contractor, having worked on several projects throughout Greenbrier County and WV. He was a member of the Labor Union Local 1182 and United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 319. He and his loving wife of 51 years, Marylee Frances Fogus Grimmett, operated Mary’s Greenhouse on Anderson Road. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Junior Grimmett, sisters, Madge Lewis, Dorothy Grimmett and Ruth “Chuck” Grimmett. Including his wife, survivors are, son, Russ Grimmett and wife Angela of Lewisburg, WV, brother, Edward Grimmett and wife Janice of White Sulphur Springs, WV, sisters, Dorris Comey, Lorraine Spence of Kentucky and Betty Cookendorfer and husband Mike of Ohio, grandchildren, Katie and Seth Grimmett, several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel – 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV. Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg, WV.
