William R. "Pete" Sheppard

William R. "Pete" Sheppard, 63, of White Sulphur Springs passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at his home. Born September 23, 1949 at Lewisburg, he was the son of the late Charley and Mamie Sheppard and was a graduate of Lewisburg High School. Pete spent most of his life as a police officer and retired as assistant Chief of Police for the city of White Sulphur Springs. He is survived by his wife, Jeanine Barker Sheppard; step-son, Joshua Johnson of White Sulphur Springs; sons, William Richard Sheppard Jr. of South Carolina and Charley Sheppard and wife, Ellen of Sandstone; granddaughters, Heather, Jessi, and Abigail and grandson Daren; brother, Roger Sheppard and wife, Margie of Lewisburg and sister Sandy Sheppard of Trout.
