William T. "Tommy" Whitt

William T. "Tommy" Whitt, 81, of Renick passed away Wednesday September 2, 2015 at his home. Born May 11, 1934 at Renick, he was the son of the late Robert and Nannie Cornwell Whitt. In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded to heaven by his wife, Ileta Whitt; brothers and sisters, Bobby Gene Whitt, Roy Whitt, Bernard Whitt, Albert Whitt, Jake Whitt, Mary Fleeman, and Oda Songer. Left to miss his presence are his seven children, Janet Cales (Jackie), Dora McClintic (Alan), Barbara Talton (Denny), William T. "Satch" Whitt Jr.(Judy), Karen Napier (Ronnie), Homer "Eddie" Whitt (Beverly), and Melissa Vance (Chris); grandchildren, Ron Ward, Tommy Ward, Aleacha Wallington, Edgar McClintic, Beth Talton, Dustin Whitt, Ryan Whitt, Jared Whitt, Heather Boothe, Jeremy Shuck, Andrea Wickline, Jay Napier, Joshua Whitt, Levi Whitt, Emilee Vance, and Ethan Vance; great-grandchildren, Ron, Adelyn, Chris, Amie, Hunter, Michael, Cody, Rylee, Brodi, Conner, and Garrett; sister, Edith Hypes of Pearisburg, VA and many other extended family that is too great to list. Service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Rev. Emory Hanna officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery on Germany Road.
