Zemry C. Crookshanks

CRAWLEY, WV - Zemry C. Crookshanks, 90, of Crawley, WV went home to be with Jesus, Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV. Born October 13, 1929 at Cornstalk, WV he was the son of the late Eskel and Janie Price Crookshanks. Zemry was a member of the Williamsburg Pentecostal Holiness Church where he served as Deacon. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Combat Veteran. Zemry was a devoted husband and father. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Verlin Crookshanks and two sisters, Ruby Thomas and Mary Crookshanks. Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-four years, Margaret Thomas Crookshanks, son, Keith Crookshanks (Jeanie), daughter, Beverly Hinkle (Wayne), three grandchildren, LeAnn Patton (Charlie), Joshua Crookshanks (Tamera) and Nathan Hinkle, four great grandchildren, Adrian, Eli, Zachary and Elias, sister, Violet Thomas, several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 5:00 PM, Sunday, September 27, 2020 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel - 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Mike Teubert and Pastor Lester Honaker officiating. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery, Hartsook Road, Crawley, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions can be made to Mrs. Crookshanks, 4426 Cornstalk Road, Crawley, WV 24931.
